Internship Guidelines

The Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation selects worthy Hispanic law students for internships with Dallas area Judges.  The Foundation grants stipends to the recipients.  The Foundation also awards grants for law-related education and other activities.

The Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation invites first and second year law students to apply for the DHLF Law Internship Program.  Judges from Dallas area civil and criminal courts will be participating.  Applicants must have completed first-year law school courses from an accredited law school, including civil procedure, legal research and legal writing courses. Students attending the University of North Texas College of Law are also eligible to apply.

Applicants must be willing to commit to a minimum of a four week internship.  The internships will commence no earlier than May 22, 2017 and must be completed no later than July 7, 2017.  Interns will receive a stipend of $2,000 for the 4 weeks. Applications are due on February 10, 2017.  Intern selection will be announced no later than March 24, 2017.
